When recruiting personnel for you, WorkPac will take the following steps as a minimum standard:

A Standard Recruitment Process

  • Licences and qualifications checked and stored in electronic file
  • Two background reference checks
  • In-depth behavioural interview
  • Candidates are shortlisted based on their availability, geographical location, ability and ranking according to referee reports
  • Explanation of assignment conditions in accordance with WorkPac’s “Casual Employees – Terms and Conditions of Employment” & “Notification of Offer of Casual Employment”, with any specific clauses relevant to the role.

Occupational Safety & Health (If applicable to position)

  • OSH services and advice, including the provision of site risk assessments and hazard registers
  • Comprehensive health screening and assessment Sophisticated claims, injury management and rehabilitation processes
  • Safety attitude testing of personnel

Clothing & PPE (If applicable to position)

  • WorkPac will ensure personnel present with correct Personal Protective Equipment as relevant to site requirements
  • All WorkPac employees will carry out a daily Pre Start Inspection of all PPE, Plants, Tools and Equipment they will use throughout their shift
  • Any faulty or damaged PPE will be identified during course of Pre Start inspection and immediately brought to the attention of the supervisor and WorkPac Business Development Manager
  • We conduct regular spot checks on PPE with regards to quality and condition

Inductions (If applicable to position)

  • WorkPac will start every employee on site on the day of the job order commencement
  • WorkPac can provide a generic OHS induction and handle the administration associated with site-specific inductions and medicals
  • In addition, WorkPac can provide online safety inductions to new-starters

Drug & alcohol testing (If applicable to position)

  • Required drug and alcohol tests carried out prior to personnel commencing on site and randomly when working
  • Personnel will also be required to complete WorkPac's Pre-Assignment Medical Questionnaire including a detailed history of any previous injuries or conditions, which may affect a person’s ability to perform the tasks required
