Describe yourself in three words:

I found this a little challenging so I did a snap poll of my team.  The feedback was “Approachable, genuine and knowledgeable”.  I don’t know if they expect a raise out of it, but it sounded pretty good to me.  If I described myself I would say “competitive, inquisitive and fun-loving”.

How long have you worked at WorkPac?

Going on 12 months

What does your role entail?

General dog’s body.  But on a productive day I get involved in setting the strategic IR direction for WorkPac, which includes reviewing our prolific Enterprise Agreement platform, resolving industrial disputes and breach of employment claims (discrimination, dismissal etc), developing and rolling out a detailed IR education piece for our extended team and clients and when I have 5 minutes illuminating the path of righteousness to the IR and Payroll teams.

What attracted you to WorkPac?

I am not sure that it is a great selling point, but I had never heard of WorkPac before I had my first conversation with Rona.  In the numerous discussions that came after initial introduction, I very quickly became excited by the opportunities that the company presented.  That initial excitement about the growth and opportunities available within WorkPac has since been far exceeded.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

The variety of work and frenetic pace in which we operate.  It is not for the faint hearted, but it certainly makes it fun.

What do you enjoy most about working at WorkPac?

The people!  WorkPac have a terrific team and it is an absolute pleasure to work with them.  The energy, enthusiasm and openness in which the broader team operates, makes it great place to work.

Dead or alive, who is one person you would like to meet and what would you ask that person?

Bill Clinton and I would be forced to ask two questions, the first being “You really did inhale didn’t you?” and the second would be “So what do you define as sexual relations?”
