About the Role

The primary objective of WorkPac’s Business Centre network is to attract and retain a candidate pool suitable for placing in available positions with our coveted and ever-growing client base.

The role of the Business Development Manager is to service and further develop the WorkPac client base for the purpose of obtaining temporary, fixed term and permanent placement orders for the Business Centre in which they operate, therefore driving sales growth and profitability.

The Opportunity

An opportunity now exists for a motivated, success driven individual to join our Perth Business Support Business Centre in the role of Business Development Manager.

This very successful operation services both corporate and retail clients and has an enviable reputation for excellence in all facets of its operations.

Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, you will receive in-depth training and ongoing mentoring and support. The role offers genuine opportunities for advancement within a company that is keen to reward loyalty and effort.

Tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain a client portfolio to obtain temporary, fixed term and permanent placement orders.
  • New business prospecting, identifying markets for your Business Centre’s expansion.
  • Present to clients WorkPac’s range of products, including opportunities to cross-sell other Business Groups.
  • Achieving set financial targets.
  • Working with clients to manage their safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries to our staff employed on site.
  • Ensure all client requirements/regulations are thoroughly met.
  • Assess a final selection of candidates, as submitted by the Recruitment Coordinator, for recommendation to client.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the job order process.
  • Maintain contact with placements, encouraging retention.
  • Assist in resolution of any client or candidate assignment challenges.
  • Attend and actively participate in all Business Centre meetings i.e. staff meetings and sales meetings.
  • Encourage a positive team spirit amongst staff members.
  • Develop constructive working relationships with other WorkPac Business Centres.
  • Other duties as directed by Business Centre Manager.Overseeing the reception desk, ensuring high quality, efficient and professional service is provided to candidates, FTMs, clients, other visitors and the business centre at all times.

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Ability to establish, maintain and grow positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Exposure to database applications (desirable but not essential).
  • Exposure to Occupational Health and Safety Systems and Procedures.
  • Motivation and drive to grow a business.
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Professional presentation and communication skills
