About the Company
Our client is a National leading provider of project engineering & maintenance services to the Marine industry, working with a vast client base including prime Defence contractors and commercial vessel & shipping operators.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a number of experienced Industrial Painters to join our clientâs Sydney operations. This will be a combination of new vessel projects, major overhauls and repair maintenance works. The sites you would get the opportunity to work on will vary but majority of works will be within the Garden Island Naval Precinct.
Job Scope
Prepare surfaces (wood, metal, fiberglass, etc.) by washing, repairing, or stripping old paint.
Mix and apply paints and finishes to various surfaces, matching project requirements.
Apply coatings like paint, varnish, or stain to protect interior and exterior surfaces.
Efficiently handle planning, prep work, and project completion clean up including covering surrounding areas.
Estimate materials and time required for projects.
Tape off areas as necessary for precise application.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial painting experience
Strong understanding of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in an industrial environment.
Current driver's license with reliable transportation.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks on an ongoing basis.
OHS Construction Induction White Card (Essential).
Advantage to have but not essential
Certificate III Trade Certificate
Confined Space Entry ticket
Fire Sentry Training.
