Group General Manager
Hamish Griffin joined WorkPac and was appointed Group General Manager in 2012. Spearheading the capture and management of WorkPac's major client accounts, Hamish executes the group's strategic sales plan and ensures WorkPac fully delivers its contractual commitments. He optimises efficiencies in the operational delivery of WorkPac's service offerings and oversees WorkPac's team of corporate sales and marketing personnel.
Hamish has led many significant achievements at WorkPac, including multiple renewals of all major contracts (over $30M p.a) and the award of new business contracts and relationships across WorkPac's diversified services portfolio.
In response to strong economic influence, Hamish has executed change management programs to ensure the maintenance of employment for our workers through delivering commercially sustainable, and responsible, outcomes for the company's clients.
“Respect for our candidates is an absolute priority. Maintaining massive growth in our businesses while managing the impact of the economic downturn was challenging, particularly in mining and resources. I am proud that we have maintained the DNA of our business - valuing our people and keeping them safe, while supporting our clients to be commercially successful in an industry that's struggling,” says Hamish.
WorkPac sends thousands of people to work every day. “We're finding people jobs and giving them opportunities to grow and to support their families. That's a pretty wonderful reason to come to work every day. The commercial outcome is a by-product of the meaningful work we do”. Hamish brings a deep understanding of our industries from his career in electrical trades and senior construction management experience whilst at Nilsen, one of Australia's leading electrical contractors.
