About the client:

 

Our client provides end-to-end fire protection solutions, including system design, installation, maintenance, and emergency response training. They support organisations across commercial, industrial, and high-risk environments to protect people, property, and critical assets.

 

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Accredited Practitioner Fire Safety to carry out inspection and reports on a variety of fire safety measures to meet the requirements of Annual Fire Safety Statements outlined in the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulations and the requirements  To be able to provide technical advice and assessments of a variety of fire safety measures and other fire safety issues that may arise.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspect sites to determine compliance/performance of various fire safety measures.
  • Research various codes and legislation to determine compliance/performance of various fire safety measures and determine the gap.
  • Analyse engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine adequate design of various fire safety measures.
  • Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment (CAD) and software to develop designs.
  • Provide technical information concerning design, installation, testing or limitations on installed / proposed fire safety measures.
  • Confer with sales and field staff personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design.
  • Analyse test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
  • Maintain company image and work in a professional and ethic manner.
  • Provide technical support to the sales and marketing department in finding technological solutions to customers needs.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • To perform this job successfully the person must have completed an engineering, building and or fire related certificate or diploma.
  • Further tertiary training will be encouraged, such as completion of the Fire Technology diploma.
  • Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD
  • Drivers licence
  • Ability to travel to client sites on a regular basis
