About Our Client

Our client is a nationally recognised player in the building materials industry with extensive operations across Australia. With a strong commitment to safety, community, and sustainable construction, they are known for delivering reliable, high-quality products to major infrastructure and development projects.

 

 

About the Position

  • As Area Manager, you will lead the safe, efficient and profitable operation of three concrete plants based in Dubbo, Orange, and Mudgee.
  • Lead and support a team of 13 site staff including batchers and drivers
  • Manage plant operations, raw material stock, and day-to-day administration
  • Provide leadership in safety, quality, and environmental compliance
  • Deliver cost and performance reporting including forecasts and estimates
  • Drive customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
  • Ensure operational equipment is running at optimal performance levels

 

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee daily operations across three concrete plant sites
  • Manage staffing including recruitment, training and performance
  • Champion safety standards and ensure compliance is met
  • Monitor stock levels and control raw material usage
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet delivery outcomes
  • Report on financial performance, plant productivity and service metrics

 

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Industry experience in concrete, building materials or construction
  • Proven team leadership with strong communication and people skills
  • Comfortable working flexible hours including occasional weekend
  • Financial acumen including P&L oversight and cost management
  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally across varied teams
