About the Client
Our client is a global leader in the supply and support of heavy equipment and industrial machinery, serving the construction, mining, quarrying and forestry industries. They provide a comprehensive range of machinery, equipment solutions and aftermarket support, including maintenance, parts, technology and equipment management services.
Hours:
Day: 5:00am 1:06pm (Monday to Friday) Saturday shift also available
Afternoon: 2:00pm 9:36pm (Monday to Friday) Saturday shifts also available
What You Will Be Doing
You will be working as part of the pre-delivery inspection team. You will complete the below duties on various construction and mining equipment before its shipped to clients/customers. The equipment is brand new and is assembled on site. Your main duties will include the following:
- Complete electrical fit-outs, inspections and commissioning of brand new construction and mining equipment prior to customer delivery
- Install, test and commission electrical systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, control modules and electronic components on heavy mobile equipment
- Complete installation of customer-specific electrical modifications including accessories, monitoring systems, lighting, cameras, communication systems and safety equipment
- Conduct electrical diagnostics, fault finding and troubleshooting following machine testing and commissioning activities
- Use diagnostic software, scan tools and manufacturer systems to identify and rectify electrical faults before equipment is delivered
- Inspect and test electrical circuits, components and control systems to ensure machinery meets manufacturer specifications and customer requirements
- Complete wiring modifications, repairs, terminations and harness installations to suit machine customisations
What You Will Need
- Drivers Licence + reliable transport
- Be a trade qualified auto electrician
- Previous experience completing the above duties
- Previous experience working on machinery from Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, Liebherr is highly desirable
- Forklift, EWP and Dogging tickets are highly desirable
