About the Client:
Rio Tinto Operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.
About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of an Aviation Advisor to join our esteemed client's team, based in Perth. This position is Monday to Friday, based on a full time roster.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance of aerodrome staff and contractors with aviation standards and regulations.
Maintain and review the aerodrome manual suite for ongoing accountability.
Enhance the AVCRM aerodrome reporting system for improved operational oversight.
Conduct risk management, safety event investigations, and internal assurance audits.
Oversee regulatory compliance activities, including risk and emergency management.
Collaborate with Sodexo to ensure service delivery aligns with the IFMS contract.
Act as a delegate for the Superintendent Aviation as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with relevant civil aviation safety legislation and standards
Minimum 5 years in aerodrome compliance and safety management
3-5+ years in airline ground or flight operations
Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) and Aeronautical Radio Operator (AROC) certificates
Experience in aviation safety and emergency management
Excellent stakeholder engagement and organizational skills
