About the Role
WorkPac is seeking a Biological Advisor to support biological and botanical assessments within the Pilbara region. Based in Perth, this role involves preparing technical reports, contributing to field surveys, and advising internal stakeholders on biological values. Youll be part of a team that supports environmental approvals and drives sustainable outcomes for large-scale mining projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical reports and provide advice to support environmental approvals
- Develop and improve biological assessment methods and technologies
- Conduct biological field surveys in remote Pilbara locations
- Plan surveys, including sampling design, logistics, and safety
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical specialists
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree in botany, ecology, environmental science or related field
- Field experience as a botanist/biologist, ideally in the Pilbara or resource sector
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using GIS software, ideally ArcGIS
- Ability to manage complex tasks and competing priorities
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Valid C Class drivers licence
