Our client is a well-established leader in the precast concrete industry, operating from a large manufacturing facility in Welshpool with a workforce of approximately 100 employees. With over 100 years of industry experience, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality precast concrete products and continue to secure major projects across Australia. They are committed to providing a safe, collaborative, and long-term working environment for their employees.

 

What you will be doing

 

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join a busy maintenance team in Welshpool. Working within a precast concrete manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, welding, maintenance, and repairs on fixed plant equipment and structural components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site. This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday hours with occasional Saturday morning overtime.

 

Duties include:

 

  • Performing fabrication, welding, and repairs on fixed plant equipment and structural steel components
  • Carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance within the workshop
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans
  • Fabricating, modifying, and repairing plant equipment and site infrastructure
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Following all site safety procedures and company policies

 

What you will need

 

  • Boilermaker / Metal Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or maintenance workshop environment
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Full Australian working rights

 

Highly Desirable:

 

  • Experience within the concrete or precast manufacturing industry
  • Forklift or EWP Licence
  • Availability to work occasional Saturday overtime
