About the Position:
As a Building Surveyor, you will:
- Assess and process building and development applications.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies.
- Provide professional advice and technical guidance to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver development outcomes.
Your dedication to continuous learning and improvement will contribute to delivering an efficient, customer-focused service. With your excellent communication skills and collaborative approach, you will build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive development outcomes that benefit our community.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Level 2 Building Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
- Sound understanding of applicable legislation (e.g., Local Government Act 1995, Building Code of Australia).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Previous local government or construction industry experience is advantageous.
