About the Position
We are seeking a Civil Supervisors to support construction and civil project delivery across multiple work fronts. This role is responsible for supervising site crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining compliant documentation and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. Working closely with the project Superintendent and project stakeholders, you will oversee daytoday construction activities, manage safety requirements, lead toolbox sessions, and resolve onsite issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily site operations including excavations, civil works and general construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery.
Coordinate and direct work crews and subcontractors, manage schedules, resolve onsite issues and maintain quality standards through regular inspections.
Lead site safety requirements, including JHAs, permits, risk assessments, toolbox talks and incident reporting, while ensuring all equipment pre-starts and compliance checks are completed.
Build strong working relationships with supervisors, leading hands and stakeholders, attend site meetings, and maintain accurate documentation including timesheets and daily records.
Support staff development by coaching team members, assisting with performance reviews and fostering a positive, high-performance culture aligned with company values.
Skills and Experience Required
Trade certificate or formal qualification in machinery operation.
S26 Qualified
Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Demonstrated technical knowledge of construction, building, and civil works processes.
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor.
Strong leadership capability, with excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor team members.
Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information and evaluate cost/benefit outcomes.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative team relationships.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
