About Our client
Our client is a progressive aerospace technology company based on the Sunshine Coast. They provide innovative aerospace products and technologies that enable customers to perform a range of complex missions, including emergency medical retrieval, search and rescue, aerial policing, and special operations.
What you will be doing
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to be based out of their Caloundra site. Work hours will be 7am-3pm Mon-Fri, with possible overtime.
Duties will include:
- Create basis program and operate CNC routers.
- Operate 3 and 5 axis CNC machines (including HAAS VMC/UMC/Mill-Turn machines).
- Drive best-practice within design for machined component manufacture and quality.
- Complete part conformity and verification.
- Own continuous improvement initiatives within machining to decrease run times, increase machine utilisation, and improve part quality.

What you will need
- Drivers license + transport
- CNC
- Police clearance
- 4+ years experience in the aerospace, automotive or other high precision industry desirable
- 5+ years experience with HAAS or equivalent high-speed machining centres, including tooling and work holding
- Experience in proving CAM, 1st of type production, and integrating with an engineering team
