About our client
Our client is a leader in the engineering, design and fabrication space across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, chemical, food processing and minerals. Due to rapid growth, our client is now seeking a Site Supervisor/Foreman to join their business on a permanent basis in their Construction division, based out of their Hemmant workshop in Brisbane.
What you will be doing
The successful candidate will be responsible, but not limited to the following duties:
- Implementation and management of safety throughout the planning phase and site delivery phases of projects
- Coordinate and supervise trade labour, plant & equipment and material deliveries on the project site
- Report to management regularly with progress updates
- Provide technical and logistical support to trade subcontractors
- Ability to apply on-the-spot problem solving solutions to the day-to-day scope of work
- Conduct worksite safety and environmental inspections
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) worksite inspections with client representatives
- Responsible for the overall productivity of staff within the workplace
What you will need
- Experience in the industrial building sector and construction trades industry
- TAFE Diploma or Trade Qualification in Construction is preferred
- Proven competency in managing construction specific trades
- Minimum 5 years in a Construction Site Supervisory role within the industrial sector
- Sound knowledge of National Construction Code and have the confidence to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering reports
- Established capacity to provide consistent leadership and resolve site issues is essential
- Provide assistance in the operational support and advice to team members and colleagues.
- Ability to oversee various minor projects at any one time.
