- 2:2 Roster | Day Shifts Only
- $61.55 per hour + $3.00/hr Leading Hand Allowance
- 12-hour shifts (11.5 hours paid)

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Controlled Waste Operator for a FIFO opportunity on Barrow Island. Offering $61.55 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour Leading Hand allowance, this role is ideal for candidates with strong waste management experience and proven leadership abilities.

Our client is a leading provider of industrial services, delivering safe and efficient waste management solutions across major oil & gas and resource sector projects. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading controlled waste operations on site
- Coordinating daily waste collection, segregation, transport and disposal activities
- Conducting daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety interactions
- Monitoring team performance and promoting a positive safety culture
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, site waste management plans and client procedures
- Assisting with workforce planning, scheduling and fleet maintenance
- Operating waste management equipment, vacuum trucks, forklifts and associated plant as required
- Completing waste manifests, tracking documentation and operational reports
- Maintaining housekeeping standards across waste management and storage areas
- Identifying opportunities to improve safety, productivity and environmental performance
- Supporting Supervisors and Site Management to achieve project objectives
What You Will Need:
- Australian Working Rights - Passport or Birth Certificate
- Current HR Driver's Licence (Essential)
- Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
- Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years' experience in waste management, industrial services, mining or oil & gas environments
- Previous Leading Hand or Senior Operator experience
- Eligibility to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen

- $61.55 per hour flat rate

- 5:30am starts
- 12-hour day shifts (11.5 hours paid)
