Townsville City Council Civil Labourer
- $36.86/hour + opportunities for overtime
- 9-day fortnight schedule, MondayFriday, 6:00 AM3:00 PM
- Diverse projects in road, transport, and stormwater maintenance
About Our Client
Our client is committed to maintaining and enhancing public infrastructure within Townsville. They deliver critical maintenance projects for roads, stormwater systems, coastal structures, and more, ensuring sustainable and safe urban development.
What You Will Be Doing
Join a dedicated team performing a variety of infrastructure maintenance tasks, including:
Asphalt work: pothole repair, edge breaks, paving, and mill and replace operations.
Concreting: formwork, reinforcement, kerb repairs, and stormwater drain installations.
Signage and line marking: installation and road marking.
Coastal projects: maintaining bus shelters and applying geofabric.
Construction: road reconstructions, grade checking, and spotting.
Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 9-day fortnight. Overtime and night work may be required.
What You Will Need
- MR License
- Construction White Card
- Physically fit to do manual duties in the warm weather
- Police clearance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
