BUTCHER SHOP ASSISTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLE

- Location: Mackay, QLD
- Hours: Monday to Friday with weekend work (8-hour shifts)
About the Client
Our Client is a family-owned butcher shop in Mackay, known for its paddock-to-plate quality and friendly service. With locations in Alfred Street and Mount Pleasant, the client offers premium meats direct from their own farms, along with convenient in-store and online shopping options.
Position / Role Description
Were looking for a reliable and enthusiastic team member to join our butcher shop. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Serving customer with a friendly attitude
- Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions
- Wrapping and preparing meat products
- Crumbing various cuts of meat
- General cleaning and hygiene maintenance
What you need
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow hygiene and safety procedures
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Experience in food handling (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
