About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established structural steel fabrication and construction business based in regional New South Wales. It specialises in the manufacture, supply, and installation of structural steel for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The business is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Roster:
11 hour shifts, with 30 minute unpaid meal break.
What you will be doing:
- Slinging, dogging and directing crane lifts.
- Rigging structural steel and construction materials.
- Positioning steel members during installation.
- Reading lift plans and following lift procedures.
- Inspecting lifting gear and reporting defects.
- Assisting boilermakers and steel erection crews.
- General site labouring as required.
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work area.
What you will need:
- High Risk Work Licence Dogging (DG).
- High Risk Work Licence Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging (RB/RI/RA) preferred depending on experience.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
- Experience on commercial or civil construction projects.
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Ability to obtain/hold Defence site clearance if required.
Desirable
- Working at Heights.
- Elevated Work Platform (WP).
- Telehandler competency.
- Structural steel erection experience.
- First Aid.
