Our client delivers specialised drill and blast rig solutions, including parts supply, maintenance, engineering support and equipment hire, to maximise performance and reliability across mining operations in Australia and offshore.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer / Draftsperson to create accurate technical drawings and 3D models, support workshop fabrication, and assist with engineering problemsolving across a variety of mechanical components and projects. In this role, you will produce, update, and manage technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical components, assist with fabrication requirements, and collaborate with engineers and workshop teams to develop practical engineering solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models from engineering briefs
- Measure and document mechanical components for drafting and modelling
- Reverseengineer components to produce drawings and specifications
- Provide drafting and documentation support to workshop fabrication
- Review fabricated and received parts to ensure compliance with drawings
- Collaborate with workshop staff to resolve technical issues and develop modifications
- Maintain drawing revisions and manage technical documentation
Skills and Experience Required
- Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and 3D modelling
- Qualification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related discipline (Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree)
- Strong accuracy in measurements and technical documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Mechanical engineering background preferred
