About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an Electrical Construction Advisor to join our client Rio Tinto on a 8/6 roster to Cape Lambert. Join a multidisciplinary team overseeing electrical construction projects within Sustaining Capital, ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto standards and statutory requirements. You will lead contractor partners, manage electrical systems and permits, and champion health, safety, and environmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical projects and train team members on isolation and safety protocols.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with Rio Tinto standards, statutory requirements, and safety policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and CMS activities.
• Coach contractor partners on systems, processes, and safety best practices.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Provide timely and accurate project reporting and documentation reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of construction activities.

Skills and Experience Required

• Licensed electrician with willingness to maintain S26 appointment.
• Familiarity with Rio Tinto processes and systems (preferred).
• Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Solid understanding of project management principles and HSE standards.
• Ability to interpret and implement systems and procedures.
• Experience in brownfield environments (desirable).
• C Class Drivers Licence
