About the Role

Our client, a global leader in infrastructure development equipment, is seeking a Senior Electrical Service Technician based in Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for performing electrical duties on fixed and mobile plants. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to an apprentice while ensuring safety and operational standards are met. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 - $120,000, along with the provision of a motor vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone. Additionally, the role offers a merit increase of up to 5% per annum, based on individual performance.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing proactive electrical and controls service, maintenance, and installation work both on-site and in the workshop.

  • Diagnosing electrical and controls issues over the phone and on-site.

  • Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and products.

  • Mentoring an apprentice Electrical Service Technician throughout their training and assisting with their daily tasks.

  • Handling installations, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning of equipment.

  • Delivering customer support, including after-hours service.

  • Traveling locally, interstate, and overseas as needed to complete work assignments.

What You Will Need

  • Electrical Trade Certificate.

  • Current Class 'C' Driverâs License.

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is advantageous.

  • Experience in risk, safety, and hazard identification.

  • 1-3 years of experience in the asphalt or quarry industry is desirable but not essential.

  • Prior experience managing and mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.

  • A willingness to travel frequently..

Additional Benefits

  • Construction Site Allowance: $120.00 per day for designated construction sites.

  • Travel Allowance: $100.00 per day when required to work away from your ordinary residence.
