About Our Client
Our client is Australia's second largest aluminium smelter located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Gladstone at Boyne Island on the Central Queensland coast. What you will be Doing
The successful candidates will be responsible for completing electrical breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment, including:
- Working on CTAs cranes (Cell Tending Assemblies)
- Maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and motors
- Isolating equipment and performing function checks
- Diagnosing pneumatic systems and resolving issues
- Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
- Performing additional electrical maintenance duties as required
What you will need
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance experience (preferred)
- Experience with PLCs, drives, and motors
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Current Electrical License
- Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (advantageous but not required)
- Valid Drivers License
