About Our Client
Our client is Australian owned and plays a major part in the road maintenance industry, heavily involved in various asphalt and paving works across South-East Queensland They are currently seeking labourers to join their team. Successful candidates will meet at the yard in Crestmead (QLD) and be responsible for working as part the Profiling and Asphalt crews across various projects.
Successful candidates will mainly complete day shift work however may have to occasionally work night shift. Respective rates are listed below;
Days= $43.08/hour with penalties
Nights= $62.45/hour
Overtime= $77.52/hour
What you will be doing
As a mobile plant operator you will be working Monday - Friday, 5AM starts & working up to 12 hour days. You will be working across various civil sites, alongside other operators and truck drivers. You will be responsible for the below;
- Operating Bobcat/Skid Steer for road prep, clean up and final trimming
- Operating MTV to transfer asphalt from haul trucks to the paver
- Opearting Shoulder Paver to construct and reinstate road shoulders, widen existing pavements and complete shoulder rehabilitation
- Operate Road Profilers to remove existing asphalt and pavement surfaces to specified depths
- Assist with set up, orientation and shutdown of profiling equipment
- Prepare road surfaces for asphalt paving through profiling, sweeping and removal of loose material
- Load, transport and distribute asphalt, road base and other construction materials using Bobcat attachments
- Assist with road widening, pavement preparation and final trimming to design levels
- Operate various Bobcat attachments including buckets, brooms, forks, spreaders and milling attachments where required.
What you will need
- Bobcat/Skid Steer RII ticket (additional operating tickets held is also highly regarded)
- White Card
- Previous experience completing the above duties
- Willing to work night shift & away from home if required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass an instant D&A Before commencing
