About the Client
Our client is involved in the design, manufacturing and supply of bulk material handling and conveying systems for industries including mining, food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical and manufacturing.
What You Will Be Doing
As a fabricator you will be required to work from the Darra workshop Monday Friday with 6AM starts. Your main responsibilities will include;
- Perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding on structural steel, stainless steel and aluminium components
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps and engineering specifications
- Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures
- Cut, grind, gouge and prepare materials for welding and fabrication activities
- Operate workshop machinery including guillotines, presses, rollers, drills and grinders
- Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure compliance with QA procedures
What You Will Need
- Cert III in Fabrication (Sheet Metal) or equivalent
- Proven experience in MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints and engineering plans
- Experience working with structural steel, stainless steel and aluminium materials
- Competent in the use of grinders, drills, guillotines, presses and fabrication equipment
- Drivers Licence + reliable transport
