About the Position

This position is an HSEQ Advisor role responsible for maintaining and improving the organisations Integrated Management System across safety, quality, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. The role involves a strong mix of office-based administration and field engagement, including capturing and managing site data through Dashpivot, leading incident investigations and audits, and supporting a positive safety culture across all operational levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (HSEQ) in line with AS/NZS 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
  • Manage HSEQ documentation including SWMS, JSEAs, Risk Registers, and related safety tools
  • Capture and manage site data using Dashpivot (Take 5s, JSAs, inspections, etc.)
  • Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and provide ongoing HSEQ support to staff
  • Carry out site inspections, internal audits, and support external audit preparation
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action close-out
  • Prepare HSEQ performance reports and recommend system improvements
  • Promote and embed a strong safety and compliance culture across all operations

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years experience in HSEQ roles, ideally within construction, power, communications, or fabrication environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001)
  • Proven experience in incident investigation, reporting, and corrective action management
  • Demonstrated experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Ability to develop, review, and manage HSEQ documentation (SWMS, JSEAs, Risk Registers, etc.)
  • Experience delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and site-based HSEQ support
  • Strong understanding of site safety systems and field-based risk management practices
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, with exposure to digital safety systems (e.g. Dashpivot desirable)
