WorkPac is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. Based out of our branch in Para Hills West, this role will involve regular travel to site to perform assembly, testing, repairs, and maintenance to plant and equipment, including mine site dewatering systems.
Position Details:
Location: Para Hills West, SA
Shift Pattern: Regular travel to mine sites, may be away for work for 3-5 days
Hourly Rate: Competitive pay based on experience
What you will be doing:
Performing assembly, testing, repairs, and maintenance on plant and equipment, including mine site dewatering systems
Carrying out engine diagnostics, diesel & mechanical repairs, and servicing
Assessing and scoping required repairs & parts
Reading manuals and schematics, documenting repair notes, and interpreting parts information
What you will need:
Relevant Trade Certificate Mechanical or Mechanical Fitting
Experience in diesel mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs
Ability to assess and scope required repairs & parts
Strong ability to read manuals and schematics, document repair notes, and interpret parts information
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction, or Heavy industries
Experience in electric pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, and duty testing
Experience with well point installation and aligning pump ends to drive systems
