About the Client:

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.
About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of an Operations Planner - Drilling & Earthworks to join our esteemed client's team, based in the Perth. This position is Monday to Friday with Ad Hoc travel contracted until September 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate weekly short-term execution schedules for earthworks, drilling, and rehabilitation activities.
- Coordinate and align exploration drilling and earthworks operations within the quarterly production schedule.
- Facilitate robust reporting routines and reconciliation processes for the tactical plans.
- Manage the escalation process for critical hold/decision points during plan execution.
- Collaborate with Mine Technical Services, Schedulers, and Project Engineers to ensure alignment with the overall production plan.
- Ensure accommodation and flight arrangements are accurately forecasted and managed for operations.
- Promote a culture of plan-do-check-act, driving conformance to the schedule and continuous improvements in planning processes.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools
- Demonstrated mining engineering experience, preferably in exploration or resource development
- Operational supervision experience in exploration, earthworks, or resource development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to collaborate and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
