About the Role:
WorkPac, on behalf of our client Rio Tinto, is seeking a Geologist for an exciting opportunity at Winu. This 2/2 FIFO role is ideal for an early-career Geologist eager to gain experience in the field. Were looking for a passionate professional with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, capable of coordinating all aspects of the project seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Plan and design drill programs for risk management in resources and reserves
- Logging RC and Diamond Drilling samples
- Undertake field interactions with contract partners.
- Manage and oversee the collection and interpretation of data.
- Ensure sampling and quality control of geological data is maintained to a high standard.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology
- Previous exposure to a FIFO and field-based role preferable
- Experience with Copper exploration
- C Class drivers licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience with software programmes such as Leapfrog, ArcGIS and AcQuire desirable
