About Our Client
Our client delivers drill and blast rig solutions to clients in Australia and offshore from servicing and support to quality parts and equipment hire.
What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will be joining our clients workshop team on an immediate start basis. Reporting to the Workshop Managers, the role will include drill rig rebuilds and new builds, mechanical component overhauls, general mechanical assembly, fault finding and commissioning, as well as working collaboratively within a team and supporting other fitters as required.
We are open to candidates from a range of relevant trade backgrounds, with preference given to Heavy Diesel (HD) or mining-experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics.
What You Will Need
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (trade certified)
- Current WA Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work both unsupervised and within a team environment
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and CAN systems
- Experience working on Epiroc and/or Sandvik equipment (advantageous)
- Current Forklift Licence
- Dogging/Rigging ticket (advantageous)
