About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client Rio Tinto to support leaders, employees, and contract partners in maintaining a safe work environment. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, provide coaching, and implement health and safety programs that align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support risk reduction initiatives across operations
- Provide guidance on incident management and investigation processes
- Facilitate and coach risk assessments to enhance workplace safety
- Champion Critical Risk Management and leadership safety programs
- Support fundamental health and safety initiatives, training and coaching for key activities and processes, such as Shift Starts, Quality Safety Interactions, Critical Risk Management, and other Leadership in Field programs.
- Deliver training and coaching on key health and safety processes
- Assist with reporting and data analysis to track safety performance
Skills and Experience Required:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (beneficial)
- Full manual C class drivers license
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated with problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Technologically intuitive with safety and reporting systems
