About the Role


As the HSEC Manager, you will drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) management systems. You will play a pivotal role in identifying risks, ensuring compliance with legislation, and fostering a safety-focused workforce culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leadership to promote a participative safety culture
  • Oversee HSEC systems to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • Identify and implement improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance
  • Lead and develop a high-performing HSEC team with a focus on capability and motivation
  • Embed HSE behaviors, leadership culture, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Apply business improvement principles to enhance operational discipline and safety outcomes
  • Drive rigorous adherence to company HSEC standards, legislation, and regulations

Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Safety (Diploma in OHS desirable)
  • 8-10 years experience in chemical, mineral manufacturing, or heavy engineering industries
  • Proven expertise in process safety and occupational safety management systems
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, codes, and standards
  • Formal training in risk assessment, investigation, and emergency response (preferred)
  • Leadership capability with a focus on coaching, accountability, and results delivery
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with systems like SHAERS, SAP, and Document Management Systems
