Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- $80/hour flat + Meal Allowance
- 14/7 Roster | 12-hour shifts
- Location: Broken Hill, NSW (DIDO / FIFO from Dubbo available)
About Our Client
Our client is a leader in the mining and earthmoving industry, committed to delivering high-quality services across civil and mine site operations. Join a dynamic team in a supportive and engaging site-based work environment focused on safe and efficient tailings and dirt carting operations.
What you will be doing:
- Servicing and repairing 30-tonne excavators, CAT 966 loaders, and heavy vehicles
- Performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing breakdown repairs
- Overhauling and replacing mechanical components as required
- Using diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines to identify issues
What you will need:
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Current drivers licence
- Proven experience working on CAT machinery (excavators, loaders, heavy vehicles preferred)
- Strong mechanical faultfinding and repair skills
- Ability to work safely in a workshop environment and follow WHS procedures
- Reliable, selfmotivated and able to work both independently and in a team
