- 3-month contract supporting the Power Supply team (BSL)Day Shift Only
- Nine-day fortnight: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM shifts (Every second Friday RDO)
- Flat rate: $60/hr + Superannuation
About Our Client
Our client is Australia's second largest aluminium smelter located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Gladstone at Boyne Island on the Central Queensland coast. Our clients exceptional manufacturing practices, strong safety and health culture, and their focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence is renowned in the industry.
What you will be Doing
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- HV Testing and Maintenance (including Circuit Breakers)
- Commissioning of High Voltage systems
- Protection Relay Testing
- Working with HVIA and HV Transformers
- Diagnosing faults and ensuring operational reliability of HV equipment
What you will need
- Minimum 2 years of HV experience in a similar role
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely in a high-risk environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Valid Drivers License
Beneficial Experience:
- Smelter DC Rectiformer experience
- Exposure to heavy industry electrical systems
- Experience with large-scale high voltage equipment and maintenance
