About our client:

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.
About the Position:
WorkPac are currently seeking an Information Officer to join our client Rio Tinto in the Perth CBD. This role is being offered 3 days per week, for an initial 6 month duration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Apply governance processes and ensure compliance to information standards for over 22,000 business-controlled documents.
- Provide service desk support to business-controlled document users, authors and leaders.
- Maintain controlled documents and associated metadata within the Information Management System.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions related to daily operations, team projects and continuous improvement.
- Undertake publishing activities to peripheral document systems.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of controlled document processes and systems.
- Perform Quality Control for business-controlled documents during publish workflow.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Document Controller / Information Controller experience in a large organisation.
- Mining industry experience preferred with exposure to Mine or Rail Safety Management Systems.
- Experience providing support services to many users and owners of documents for a large number of documents (>1,000).
- Experienced working with offshore support team.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 applications and SharePoint
- Working with key stakeholders and customers who may be technologically challenged and located remotely throughout Western Australia.
- C Class Drivers Licence
