In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating water maintenance activities, ensuring safety and compliance with quality, legislative, and environmental standards.
About our client
Townsville City Council is the local government authority for the city of Townsville in North Queensland, Australia. It is responsible for delivering a wide range of services and infrastructure to support the community, including urban planning, waste management, community services, and environmental initiatives.
What you will be doing
- Managing asset maintenance activities, including breakdowns, repairs, and planned works to reduce downtime.
- Ensure requirements for site access, permits, safety and statutory permissions are met for daily activities
- Ensure that licence, legislative, enviromental, operational plan and quality requirements are met in a cost-effective manner.
What you will need
- Strong work ethic
- Current MR licence
- Traffic management implementation course accredited
- Asbestos awareness training and experience with removal of asbestos piping
- Dogman certification
- Forklift certification
- Ability to pass drug & alcohol screen
- Police check
