About the Client:
Our client is a well-established landscaping contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects across the Perth metropolitan area. They specialise in both soft and hard landscaping, working across sectors including healthcare, retail, and education infrastructure. About the Role:
This is a hands-on Leading Hand role based across Perth Metro sites, working primarily Monday to Friday with early starts. You will lead small crews while supporting the Site Supervisor in delivering commercial landscaping projects from start to finish.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be responsible for supervising a team of labourers on-site while actively contributing to landscaping construction works including planting, mulching, and ground preparation. The role involves interpreting site plans, coordinating subcontractors across trades such as concreting, paving, and irrigation, and ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will also manage site presentation, conduct toolbox talks, and report progress and any issues to the broader project team.
What You Will Need:
- Experience in landscaping construction or general construction
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications
- Proven leadership skills or ability to step into a Leading Hand role
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate teams and subcontractors
- White Card
- Current Drivers Licence
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience (desirable)
- Tickets such as Excavator or Skid Steer, First Aid or MR Licence (desirable)
