What you will be doing
As a Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the below duties:

• Leading and mentoring a team of mechanics and trade assistants
• Assigning and prioritising daily maintenance, diagnostics, and repair tasks
• Ensuring all fleet vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Assisting with mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair
• Supporting documentation, inventory, and parts tracking
• Responding to workshop issues and assisting hands-on when needed
• Stepping in to support the Workshop Manager during leave

What you will need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

• Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Experience working with Scania and Volvo vehicles (advantageous)
• HR Licence (preferred)
• Leadership experience or the confidence to step into a leadership role
• Strong communication, organisational, and team coordination skills
• Flexibility to work on a rotating weekend roster
• Focus on safety, quality, and compliance
