What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will maintain clear two-way radio communication with supervisors, machine operators, and site personnel to support efficient workflows and respond promptly to operational requirements. They will accurately complete daily reports, including plant downtime, pause times, production figures, and any incidents or safety concerns. The role involves leading and supervising a team of four sorters by allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to ensure productivity and quality standards are achieved. The candidate will oversee end-of-shift cleaning of the work area, assigning specific zones to team members, coordinate and lead waste audits with accurate data recording, and train new team members in sorting procedures and safety protocols.
What You Will Need
- To be a team player who can motivate the team.
- Proven leadership experience with ability to lead teams effectively and lead by example
- Physically fit and ability to work on the foot.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good verbal communication.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety.
- Permit to work experience preferred.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical.
- Clean National Police Check.
