About Our client:
Our client is passionate about helping you build faster and reduce waste when using rebar. As an 100% Australian owned and operated business with 21 locations across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. They source steel reinforcement from local Australian steel mills, which is manufactured using recycled steel.
What You Will Be Doing:
They are currently seeking skilled gantry crane operators, to join their team on afternoon shift, based out of their Wacol factory. The successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday, between 1pm 9pm, and be responsible for the following duties:
- Using the overhead gantry crane to pick up the bundles of steel bars and move them around the workshop floor and eventually onto the back of trucks to be delivered to the customers.
- Forklift operation.
- Handle the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring safe transport of materials.
- Conduct prestart checks on all plant and equipment to ensure they are operationally ready.
- Maintain high-quality standards and consistent production output.
- Set up machines and apply quality control inspections during crane operation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in accordance with safety protocols.
What You Will Need:
- Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Proven experience operating gantry cranes and machinery
- Background in a manufacturing or production environment (desired)
- Experience in loading trucks and handling materials.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to pass a PEM and Police Check
