About the Client
Our client is a leading provider of high-performance animal nutrition solutions in Australia. They are committed to excellence in operations, safety, and sustainability while delivering top-quality products to their customers.

 

What you will be doing
As a Maintenance Fitter / Electrician, working Monday to Friday with a 7am start you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs on plant and equipment
  • Ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to specified standards and safe working conditions
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns and minimizing unplanned downtime
  • Coordinating maintenance activities with the operations team
  • Maintaining and operating a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and spare parts
  • Conducting root cause analysis for breakdowns and safety issues
  • Preparing reports and analyzing data to improve plant operations and efficiency
  • Monitoring plant equipment performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Complying with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures

 

What you will need
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner
  • 5+ years of industry experience working in manufacturing and maintenance teams
  • Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental policies and legislation
  • Current drivers and forklift licenses
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software
  • Ability to work under pressure with effective communication skills
  • EWP operations license
  • Relevant tickets to perform tasks
