About the Client
Our client is a well-established automotive service provider, delivering high-quality maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles and equipment. With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork, they take pride in offering industry-leading automotive solutions to their clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Automotive Leading Hand to oversee workshop operations, supervise a team of skilled technicians, and ensure all work meets the highest standards.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Automotive Leading Hand, you will oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring all servicing and repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. You will allocate tasks, supervise and mentor apprentices and technicians, and provide hands-on support with diagnostics and repairs. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining accurate service records will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on job progress and workshop performance
What You Will Need
- Trade Qualification in Automotive Mechanical or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an automotive workshop.
- Strong mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements.
- Computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
- Valid drivers license (HR preferred).
