What You Will Be Doing
WorkPac is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the Plant Shut Maintenance teams to perform planned maintenance activities at Rio Tinto's Dampier Ports Operations.? These port facilities consist of shipping terminals with each terminal having facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to
Maintain infrastructure through repairing and overhauling the fixed plant equipment.
Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area
Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required
Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed
This role is for residential applicants only that reside within the Karratha, Dampier region.
Skills & Experience
Relevant Australian recognised trade certification
Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
Rigging/dogman (preferred)
Forklift (preferred)
EWP (preferred)
Experience in rebuilding and overhauling conveyors, pulleys, Warman pumps, industrial gear boxes and gyrator crushers.
Fault finding knowledge of hydraulic circuits
General fabrication and welding skills
Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
