About the Client

A specialist mining infrastructure contractor delivering large-scale project works at a major South Australian mine site. The current scope includes a project involving structural mechanical piping fabrication, installation of stairs and platforms, switch room works, civil earthworks, and integrated electrical and control system installation across HV and underground infrastructure. The organisation is focused on delivering complex multi-discipline project outcomes in a high-compliance mining environment.

What you will be doing

As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for the below duties:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on fixed and mobile plant equipment
• Assist with fabrication and installation of structural mechanical piping, platforms, stairs and associated components
• Support mechanical commissioning activities across ventilation and processing systems
• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across site equipment
• Work collaboratively with civil, electrical and construction teams to ensure safe project delivery

What you will need

To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

• Trade Certificate Mechanical Fitter
• White Card
• Drivers Licence
• Mine site experience
• Mechanical maintenance and commissioning experience
