About Our Client
Our client is a well-established engineering and project delivery company with a strong track record across Australias mining, resources, and infrastructure sectors. They specialise in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, supporting large-scale construction and commissioning projects.
About the role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitters to work a 2/1 roster for a period of 5 months at Olympic Dam. This is a hands-on role assembling, installing, and maintaining crusher and conveyor components, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
What you will be doing
- Install bearings into crusher housings and apply grease to ensure correct lubrication.
- Fit bearing housings onto crusher shafts and complete associated assembly tasks.
- Install top guarding on conveyor systems
- Fit liners into discharge chutes
- Install conveyor scrapers and associated components
- Assemble and attach conveyor walkways and structural components
- Perform general mechanical fitting and assembly duties as required.
What you will need
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- White Card
- Current Drivers License
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
- Working at Heights certification
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license Above 11m
- Previous experience in mining/construction within shutdown, project or maintenance roles
