About Our Client
Our client is a leader in the industrial hydraulics industry and is currently seeking Fitter/Machinists to join their workshop team based in Wacol, Brisbane on a temp to perm. The successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday, 6:45am to 3:30pm and a half day every second Friday.
What You Will Be Doing
This position of Production Fitter is responsible for all areas relating to overhauling of surface and underground hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, final drives, rotary heads and accumulators. This is a technical role involving precision work, an eye for detail, mechanical aptitude and care and diligence. This position will require safe and responsible performance of all duties with the use of manuals, procedures and instructions. This position addresses tight deadlines, and the majority of your work will be carried out at our workshop located in South/West Brisbane which is a state of art facility with excellent working conditions.
What You Will Need
- Trade qualification in any mechanical based field (Fitter, Mechanic, Welding, Fitter & Turner, Electrical etc)
- Current manual drivers licence
- Forklift Licence
- Certificate IV Fluid Power (desirable but not essential)
- 2 years of experience in the above duties
