About the Client
Our client helps organizations reduce vendor complexity and establish a single point of purchase for their projects, specializing in supplying high-quality equipment and consumables tailored to your needs.
What You Will Be Doing
They are currently seeking a skilled mechanical trade assistant based out of their Forest Glen warehouse. This is a long-term position, working from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday, 7:00Am 3:00PM Friday and some weekend work may be required. Your duties will include;
- Assist the Mechanics during rig builds, refurbishment, and mechanical assembly tasks
- Perform general mechanical labouring including dismantling, cleaning, prepping, and refitting components
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct parts cleaning, surface preparation, and basic finishing tasks
- Support hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical installation work as directed
- Assist with moving components and equipment using forklifts and slings, (where
- qualified)
What You Will Need
- Drivers Licence + reliable transport
- Previous experience in a mechanical, workshop, fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Forklift licence
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic mechanical principles
- Experience using hand tools and mechanical power tools
- dogging / rigging, or overhead crane experience (desirable but not mandatory)
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
