About Our Client
Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be working as a Mine Float Operator within the Drill & Blast Department, responsible for operating a CAT 793 Float and supporting department activities when float operations are not required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating a CAT 793 Float safely and efficiently
- Transporting and positioning mining equipment as required
- Supporting Drill & Blast operations when not operating the float
- Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects
- Maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance
- Working collaboratively with production, maintenance, and Drill & Blast teams
- Following all site policies, procedures, and operational requirements
What You Will Need
- Proven experience operating a CAT 793 Float within a mining environment
- Current Training transcript
- Previous experience within a Drill & Blast or production mining environment
- Current Drivers Licence & Resume
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
