About Our Client
Our client is a highly reputable mobile automotive repair service, delivering high-quality diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs directly to customers.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Mobile Mechanic to join their team. This role requires the ability to work autonomously, provide exceptional customer service, and deliver high-quality mechanical workmanship.
About the Role
As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles in line with industry standards. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent technical ability, and a professional approach when interacting with customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Mechanical Inspections, Repairs & Customer Communication
- Maximise all sales opportunities through ethical and transparent service practices.
- Prepare detailed customer quotes and invoices.
- Discuss quotations with customers and gain signed approval before work begins.
- Ensure any changes to original quotes are explained and approved.
- Purchase required parts after inspecting the customers vehicle.
- Source parts from preferred suppliers whenever possible.
- Securely manage all cash/cheque payments until banking occurs.
- Maintain and clean the company van to a roadworthy and presentable standard.
- Perform van servicing at the base workshop and ensure it is cleaned and polished regularly.
- Maintain strong working relationships with managers, suppliers, and customers.
- Represent the company professionally and uphold company values.
Skills/Qualifications
- Valid Trade Qualification / Certification (Automotive Mechanic).
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Experience working with Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia and/or Mitsubishi vehicles (highly desirable).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose and problem-solve autonomously.
