About the Role
South32 together with WorkPac are commencing recruitment for Permanent New to Industry Dump Truck Operators to promote the equality of its workforce at Groote Eylandt Mining Company (GEMCO) in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Successful candidates will be FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) from Darwin on a 7/7 Roster and be fully committed to a rewarding career in the Mining industry.
Selected candidates will need to be available to attend an Assessment Centre on the 25th March in Darwin
What you will be doing
- As a member of the GEMCO Production team, you will be fully trained as a Single Skilled Operator on CAT 777 and 785 Dump Trucks
- You will work 12hr shifts on a 7/7 roster (7 on, 7 off) and work both Day and Night shifts and be committed to ongoing, secure employment.
- Meet KPI targets within the Manganese Ore production environment
- Apply an ongoing commitment to safety and positive onsite culture
What you will need
- Although no prior operating experience is required, you will need to provide evidence of the below
A residential address within 1hr of Darwin, - A strong work history demonstrating a commitment to a current or previous employer
- A team player with a positive attitude towards safety processes and procedures
- Effective communication skills
- A current Open Class Drivers Licence (manual)
- The ability to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
