About the Role
As an MPU Trainee, you are under a training program to learn the operations, maintenance, and safety standards related to MPUs. You may assist in loading, mixing, and delivering explosives on site while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Upon successful completion of the trainee program, individuals can possibly advance to positions such as MPU Operator, Blasting Technician, or other roles in mining and construction industries.
What you will be doing:
Assist in the operation of Mobile Processing Units (MPU) for the delivery and loading of bulk explosives.
Gaining knowledge of how to operate the Mobile Processing Unit safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Understanding and applying safety regulations and procedures for handling hazardous materials.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Support senior operators in the preparation and execution of blasting activities.
Maintain accurate records of operations and materials used.
Study a certificate III in surface extraction
What you need:
Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Driver's license (HR license preferred).
Willing to obtain an NSW UHL licence
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Previous experience in the mining or construction industry is an advantage but not essential
Right to work documents
Able to pass a 043 Coal board medical & Drug Test
